A year later.. time to recollect.
A year ago, on the 5th of November 2008, we made an attempt to collect newspaper front pages and headlines from around the USA and the world. We received an overwhelming response from our correspondents – both friends and complete strangers. On this one year anniversary, we will start a series showcasing the images we have collected and scanned. We received online newspapers, scanned images of physical newspapers as well as actual clippings or entire papers via the post which we then scanned.
Today its a collage of online papers.

Hello All,
More newspapers arrived from Spain, France, Denmark and Netherlands (Taru) and India (Manu and AaiBaba). We will soon scan these newspapers. We will also use scans from resources on the net. I hope to meet Madhu (Ann Arbor) this weekend and we will plan and start working on collage.
Thankyou very much once again.
With Regards,
Pratik (Minneapolis).

Whetting your appetite …
Here’s a great collection of newspaper front pages with the election results by Geoff:

We are waiting on the scans and mailed clips to come to us from around the country and around the world to create our collage. Once we have those, we will put them together with snippets taken from online sources like the Newseum to make a physical collage and replicate it in a digital form on this site.
